Thesis statement : masjid agung is the most famous mosque in Sukabumi.
Masjid agung is located in the midle of city Sukabumi. Mosque with an area of 100 square meters stand on indigenous ancestral land endowments named Ahmad juwaeni.Masjid agung is the most famous mosque in Sukabumi, the mosque has been exist since 110 years ago. In the first time there was a single tower, than the function of mosque became centeres of education of muslim sukabumi. The mosque was expanded with the addition of the floor and the build three towers.
The mosqueis so beautiful,it has unique handle door the sharpe is kujang,sundanesse traditiona; weapon. when entered the room is wide with a red soft carpet In the front (mihrab )there are as-syahadah calligraphy written in the field of semi circle.in some parts of the window,there are ornaments that adorn the orange glass,which looks beautiful when exposed to the reflection of sunlight from the outside.in the midle of the mosque,under the main large dome,there is a unique large chandelier.
The place is so comfortable,the atmosphere is very quite and cool although the mosque located in the midle of city,make everone devoted to pray.the mosque has many al-qur’an that can use by anyone else.the mosque has a large parking place for motorcsycle and the garden infornt of mosque make the mosque cool and pople can relax their mind in there.
Almost every peoplen come to masjid agung because the mosque is adjacent to several agencies or important intitutions in sukabumi, and near mall and many bank in sukabumi and hospital. When Ramadhan month masjid agung give takjil to people who came to the mosque,and when eid Mubarak,masjid agung full of people who praying together .many Islamic events held in masjid agung such as jumatan, read al-quran together,sharing about Islamic religion and many more.
Masjid agung is famous because it’s exsit since long time ago and the mosque has large building and it is so beautiful , make everyone comfortbale and the place is strategic in the midle of city so many people come to the mosque and feel devoted when praying to
Allah.
